Our steel flat bar is painted and dirt free, giving you a clean start. Painted flat bar is unique to Custom Faberkin and is just another way that we give you a superior unit.
Stainless steel flat bar and support wires are also available upon request.
Each Custom Faberkin's bellows are shipped with complete installation instructions. Collars or pockets are sewn at the top of the bellows for mounting purposes. The collar can be pressed against the table with a supplied piece of flat stock secured with screws, bolts or pop rivets. A pocket is provided on the bottom of the bellows that can be weighted or bolted to the floor or base frame with additional flat bar. When a top pocket is preferred, flat bar is simply pushed through the pocket and then attached to the table.
Follow the step-by-step instruction for a safe and easy installation. An average size table requires two people for installation.
Locate the mesh style fold which is near the top of the skirt.
Example: If the platform is 48" x 72" and the outside (A) perimeter of the bellows is 48" x 72", the first piece of fabric or collar and the bottom pocket will be sewn on the outside of the bellows, and all of the folds will be under the table. See A Table Mount. If the platform is 48" x 72" and the inside (B) perimeter of the bellows is 48" x 72", the first piece of fabric or collar and the bottom pocket will be sewn on the inside of the bellows, and all of the folds will fall out beyond the table. See B Table Mount.
Hardware is flat bar about 1-1/2" wide x 11 gauge. Cut 2 pieces of hardware the same length as table and 2 pieces of hardware the same width as table. Then drill holes in hardware and table flange spaced about every 10" to 12" for fasteners. (Fasteners can be as such - pop rivets, bolts and nuts, tek screws, etc.) Determine the size of hole by the size of the fastener.
5A. When attaching skirt to table with hook and loop, first CLEAN SURFACE OF TABLE FLANGE OF ALL OIL AND DIRT. The loop is sewn on the collar of the skirt. To attach the pressure sensitive hook, peel the back and press onto the table flange. Then press the hook and loop together. Note: Do not use hook and loop if temperature is below 65 degrees.
With guard on the floor square up the guard to the table top matching short sides and long sides.
Starting at one short side of table attach one short side of skirt by pinching the collar and the tail of the inside lifting web between the outside of the table flange and one short piece of hardware and fasten through all three. Most fasteners will go through the collar without having to drill holes in the fabric collar.
Moving clockwise around table, mount corresponding skirt collars to the table using the same procedure as above.
The wire will be 4 to 5" shorter than the pocket they will go into. Example: If the side is 48" long the wire will be 44" to 43" long.
to determine if skirt is folding properly and there is no fabric pinching in the scissors or anywhere else.
Use the same type of flat bar as you did to mount to the top.
